Privacy Policy

Matthew Moody (ABN 80 885 833 422, trading as Moody's Deadly Darts Master; Perth, Western Australia, Australia) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, and your display name if you set one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
  • Game data: matches, legs, darts thrown, averages, doubles hit-rate, drill results and online room codes.
  • Membership data: which tier you hold, purchase and renewal dates, and payment status flags.
  • Payment data: handled entirely by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of a purchase and a transaction reference — never your full card number.
  • Technical data: basic logs and error reports (device type, browser, timestamps) used to keep the app working.

We do not use your microphone data for anything beyond on-device voice scoring, and voice audio is not recorded, stored or sent to us.

2. Why we collect it

  • To create and run your account and save your stats.
  • To unlock the games you have paid for and manage renewals, retries and cancellations.
  • To run online play.
  • To fix bugs, keep the service secure and prevent fraud or paywall abuse.
  • To email you about your account, purchases or important service changes.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

3. Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run the app, under contract and only for that purpose: our hosting and database provider; Paddle.com Market Ltd, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which handles the sale, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; our professional advisers (legal and accounting) where needed; and Google if you choose Google sign-in. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using the Service you consent to that overseas disclosure. We may also disclose information where required by law.

4. Security and retention

Data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security so you can only read your own records, and membership records can only be changed by our backend. We keep your account and game data while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons (typically transaction records for 7 years).

5. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage only — to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as sound, haptics and voice toggles. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Children

The app is family-friendly, but accounts are intended for users aged 13 and over. If a younger player uses the app, a parent or guardian should hold the account. Contact us if you believe we hold information about a child and want it removed.

7. Your rights

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Export your match history from the stats page.
  • Correct your details from your account settings, or ask us to.
  • Delete your account and data.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time.

8. Complaints and contact

Email support@moodysdeadlydarts.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
